Two-Faced Arachnid
You
spidered your way
into my fragile life,
constructing a bewitching web
of shining white silk,
promising me a fruitful bond.
You
used your dragline silk
to strengthen our connection,
to support me,
to help me get through
the thick and the thin,
the good and the bad.
You
made me believe
that anyone could weave their way
into someone’s life so effortlessly.
You
showed me what it is like
to truly be trustworthy.
I thought you could be trusted.
But, you proved me wrong,
once…
You spun your sticky silk.
You
lured me into a web of friendship,
fully knowing it is a trap,
using my trust and faith
against me.
You
tore me apart
limb from limb,
forcing me to submit to
your
deceiving lies.
You
swallowed me up whole
until I was nothing but
a lifeless soul
hanging on by a thread
in the dusty deserted cobweb.
