Stormy Skies and What Follows
Aiden Dearborn
Perhaps a wall of concrete that retains back the land.
Or the moon that shines bright
guiding constellations.
Maybe a safe that's tucked away under a bed,
keeping valuables secure and hidden.
A disco ball that sparkles brightly under the light.
A koala climbing the trees of the jungle.
The magnesium that could bond objects together,
the same magnesium that can break a bond apart.
Or perhaps a group of stormy skies that cover beautiful summer sunsets,
and the fog that comes after, lingering over the ground
after a nightly storm passes.
