Old Oak Tree

What if I was an old oak tree surrounded

by flowers, leaves, and seeds.

Roots dug deep into the ground.

Branches stretched far out—effortlessly

providing the world with shade.

Creating oxygen for your lungs.

The heartwood in the center—

resistant to decay and filled with strength.

Frequently found, but slowly disappearing like

outdoor childhood memories.
