Landslide

As time went by, I started to

give up— give up on you.

I was tired of the rejection.

I was tired of the anger.

I was tired...

My enormous efforts

to get through to you

exhausted me. Your thick skull—

refusing my words.

Day after day,

I found myself hiking up a landslide.

Each step I took, up the

loose land, it pushed me away.

Countless times I have been

crushed by crumbling rocks.

Hurt by their hardness,

harmed by their hate.

All to try to get through to you.
