Frosty
Sabrina Beck
Dressed as a performer,
I stand with my signature scarf,
coal lips, and twig arms. I play
many different roles, my expression
is always changing.
Present on snowy lawns, parks, and schools.
The laughter of children surrounds me in the cold air,
as leaves crunch under a soft blanket of snow.
My smile shines for others to see, so they may take in
all my beauty before I disappear.
The sun beams down on me, day after day, trickles of
water drip and drip, changing my form from a once
stunning star to nothing but a forgotten puddle.
That's how I know spring has arrived.
