Forever Changing

I lay down watching the white fluffy clouds flow by

as they create pictures of dancing dogs in the sky above.

The laughter of other children fills the cool air nearby

as they gaze up at the balls of cotton wool,

smiling and giggling at the different shapes

the puffy clouds create.

However, the different creations never last too long

because these calm cotton balls can easily change

into a black thunderous menace

that spreads darkness over the land.

But eventually the gloom will pass

and the soft white sheets will return

to create new designs in the sky above

for the children to laugh once more.
