Floating Dreams

As the little girl runs through the meadow,

feeling the silky green grass on her soft supple feet,

she spots a singular, white fluffy dandelion

among the red roses and purple petunias.

This white puffball,

majestically sways in the wind,

luring her, into a world full of

hopes and dreams.

She travels to the alluring white globe,

grasping the slender green stem,

closing her wishful eyes,

blowing on the white puffball,

watching, then

chasing the white tufts

that float away

like parachutes,

impossible to catch.
