Brightness

It is inside everyone.

While some keep it covered,

others let it shine.

It can be flicked on

and off,

by whomever.

If the light begins to slip away,

you are left in complete darkness.

And there is the permanent light in the sky,

whose glow cannot be blocked out.

When the light is on,

everything is clear

but when it goes dark,

things can become complicated.
