Striving to be a radiant blush which shimmers
off of a broadway star's cheek.
An elegant azalea bush which surrounds an old women’s porch.
Sometimes a sickening uncooked steak.
It oozes a translucent, blood-like liquid.
The wall a little girl would stare at as she struggles to fall asleep.
And the barbie doll which would lie next to her.
Like the sweet strawberry milkshake you’d purchase from the diner.
Or the bubblegum toned sky which glows as the sun goes down.
Sometimes an agitated jellyfish—
It doesn’t hesitate as it approaches those who deserve a sting.
Dazzling rose quartz and fresh raspberries.
Similar to the first valentine's day gift you’ll receive.
One which is wrapped in pink ribbon.
