Opia

Laying on her side,  grooves of her figure connect to me like a puzzle piece. An opaque bubble of light blends our skin together through thin bamboo blinds, laying together mixing like sand and concrete. The sun sets over my shadow in the horizon, dim yellow light sneaks at the corner of her eye, fixated on the energy between our pupils. Peering through the cracks of amber reminded of the nebula that lives in her eyes. undeserving of the sight breaking the thin web formed between our irises. hiding casually underneath her eyelids is proof that she is made with the elements.

Opia: The ambiguous intensity of looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable.
