It Had To Be Done

I really didn't mean to

but the responsibility was mine.

People are so prepared

to point a meaningless finger.

Those stupid sneakers you loved

were my least favorite.

Your soft spoken words,

once my switch to paradise,

no longer prompted that sense of serenity.

Beautiful destruction, they called me.

Assuming I didn't care very much

about the damage I had caused.

Little did they know about the guilt.

Little did they know about the difficult task

of hurting someone you never wanted to hurt.

I didn't get away with it though, dont worry.

You can't just put the blame on me.

Because many criminals escaped this crime scene

free from charge.

So let’s leave it at this-

No crime is committed

unwarranted.
