After telling him the news,

he brought me into his warm embrace

holding me like I was about to disappear into thin air.

It was like we were made for each other,

like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together.

The comforting silence only seemed

to bring us closer, fixing me,

like a cast covering a healing bone.
