Disloyalty is like healing bones, slow
painful and raw.
You can try to put things back together.
You can try to connect the pieces
but it will never be like it used to be.
It will always be somewhat broken.
Somewhat separated.
Somewhat fractured and somewhat
crushed.
The wound may heal -
and will heal.
And you can act like it’s all connected
again and the wound was never opened,
but it will never be like it was -
never the same.
