Sailing Home

Watching the sunrise while sailing under the Verrazano Bridge.

Waves breaking against the side of the ship,

I hear the wind howling and from the starboard side the faint sound of reggae music,

I smell the scent of freshly baked chocolate chip coming from the café,

I embrace the moment,

Reminiscing riding the waves in Horseshoe Bay jumping off cliffs in the coves of the Atlantic,

I’ll never forget sailing home, the end of an adventure coming to a close.
