Loneliness is a boat lost at sea
small, wooden, endlessly floating.
No land in sight.
A storm keeps the boat struggling to stay afloat.
The boards begin peeling off
snapping, splintering, allowing water to surge in
finally collapsing and dragged down,
sinking into a dark abyss.
