Masks

My perpetual tears

and plastic fears

do not

phase my peers.

I wear my covert mask--

everyday

every minute, every hour--

To cover the Truths

that lie in us all.

It is easier to

conceal my pain

than to tell

the Truth, the whole Truth

and nothing but

the Truth.
