Stop Lights

I preach and I spew

to let things be,

telling everyone around me to

give life room for

its natural path with

no question of why things happen.

These "things,"

they happen for a reason,

and we are expected to learn that from

a young age.

I preach and I spew

because I like to believe that

coincidences are a myth,

just like everyone always tells me,

because the idea

of everything coming to a clean point

satisfies me and

my perfectionist mind.

But I can't help but

wonder why it is that

stop lights only turn green when I have no where to be.
