Mobile phones. Free music streaming software. Earbuds.

Listening to music is as simple as walking is for the average human adult. Music is everywhere all the time.

Most of the time when I am listening to music, I'm not actually listening to music. The tunes that most people hear as upbeat melody or low droning bass tones start to drown out as if they are a picture and a filter has been set so all the colors are faded and washed out.

That is.

only when I listen to music.

Playing music is a different story. If listening to music was equivalent to a faded color In a picture, playing music would be equal to a supersaturated photo. Colors so vibrant it is difficult to look at, but you still look at it because it is so interesting.
